Every day there is a new page, every month there is a new chapter, and every year there is a new series.  Each new day is a blank page in the diary of our lives.  The secret to success is turning that diary into the best story we possibly can.  Don't be pushed by your problems.  Be led by your dreams.  Do what makes your soul shine.  Willpower is the key to success.

Life is for living, and beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself.  Your character is who you are.  Your reputation is who people think you are.  Your smile is your logo, your personality is your business card, and the way you make others feel is your trademark.  If you want something done well, do it yourself.  When you're lost and need to find yourself, throw out all the garbage taking up space in your life.  Don't fake it till you make it; face it till you make it.  A river cuts through a rock not because of its power but because of its persistence.

If you see beauty in something, don't wait for others to agree.  It is easy to judge the mistakes of others.  It is difficult to recognize our own mistakes.  Don't try to be perfect; just do your best.  Work for a cause, not for applause.  Live life to express, not to impress.  Excuses make today easy, but tomorrow hard.  Work makes today hard, but tomorrow easy.  Accept both compliments and criticism.  It takes both sun and rain for a flower to grow.  When you focus on problems, you'll have more problems.  If you focus on the pain, you will continue to suffer.  If you focus on the lesson, you will continue to grow.  A mistake that makes you humble is better than an achievement that makes you arrogant.

Bad chapters can still create great stories.  Wrong paths can still lead to the right places.  Failed dreams can still create successful people.  Sometimes it takes losing yourself to find yourself.  When you come out of the storm, you won't be the same person who walked in.  The pain you feel today will be the strength you feel tomorrow.  May the stars carry your sadness away.  May the flowers fill your heart with beauty, may hope forever wipe away your tears, and above all, may silence make you strong.  It is better to light a candle than curse the darkness.  Never let someone who doesn't know your value tell you how much you're worth.  Your value does not decline because someone is unable to see your worth.  Try not to become a person of success, but rather to become a person of personal value.  Be a pineapple, stand tall, wear a crown, and be sweet on the inside.  Stay humble; act like you can't afford the bread until they find out you own the bakery.  Have more than you show; speak less than you know.

Born to stand out, not just to fit in.  Yesterday is not ours to recover, but tomorrow is ours to win or lose.  The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.  Looking back will not help you move forward.  Because you are no longer who you used to be, and you don't belong there anymore.  It doesn’t really matter who you used to be; what matters is who you’ve become.  Loving yourself isn’t vanity; it’s sanity.  Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence, and face your future without fear.  To be the best, you must be able to handle the worst.  Don't limit your challenges; challenge your limits.  You see sunshine where others see shadows, and opportunities where others see obstacles.  If you want to shine like the sun, first you have to burn like it.  Iron will never become a sword without getting burned and beaten.  You have to train your mind to be stronger than your feelings, or else you will lose yourself.  You have to have confidence in yourself before anyone else will.  Stand strong where you belong.  Look back and gain experience.  Look forward and see hope.  Look around and find reality.  Your future needs you; your past doesn't.  Never plan a future with people who don't have future plans.

My mother told me the older you get, the better you get.  Unless you're a banana.  My goal is not to be better than anyone else, but to be better than I used to be.  When I was growing up, I always wanted to be someone.  Now I realize I should have been more specific.

A man must be big enough to admit his mistakes, smart enough to profit from them, and strong enough to correct them.  Believe in yourself.  You are braver than you think, more talented than you know, and capable of more than you imagine.  Be the change that you wish to see in the world.

Yesterday, I was clever, so I wanted to change the world.  Today, I am wise, so I am changing myself  !
